Developed by Beijing Xingdahao Technology Co., Ltd, EmbDesign is pattern-making assistant software for special embroidery. Basing on the Windows system, this software, which contains the sufficient interactions between user and sysem, is applied software developed for the industrialized production. At present, this software is able to perform the pattern-making operations for multi-sequin and simple looping embroidery.

This product is the installation-free software so that user can use it with mere double click on the EmbDesign.exe. The interface after click is displayed as below:
In the menu column of the software, user can select the displayed language. (The English.dll is the language package.)

Today sequin machine has developed from the single/double needle single sequin to the multi sequin combination like single needle double sequin and even double needle three-three sequin. With the common use of sequin machines and development of sequin devices, users make higher requirements for easy use, efficiency and dealing with designs for multi sequin.

As market leader of embroidery machine computer control system, Dahao Company quickly understood the customer needs and organized the research on the subject. In a short time Dahao developed the new multi sequin (D series) machine and provided it to the market. During CISMA2007 in Shanghai, dozens of companies display the machines with Dahao new multi sequin function and get the good display effects.

Product Function: The new sequin embroidery computerized control system is a new product (now named as D series) developed from Dahao BECS control system technique platform. While keeping all the functions of BECS series products, D series realizes the perfect combination of multi-sequin real-time switch, multi-sequin recognition and easy setting. It can display the colorful sequin designs while meeting the customers' requirements for higher embroidery efficiency. At the same time we also make a complete solution based on the normal punching software for sequin design punching, which helps to make the best advantage of the new multi-sequin control system.

Advantages of BECS series D type sequin embroidery:
1. It uses the special multi-sequin designs made according to the Dahao-defined multi-sequin punching standards. So it doesn't need to additionally set sequin delivery mode and order. For sequin designs made by traditional punching method, through simple settings, it can also realize all the functions of multi-sequin.

2. The user can edit the multi-sequin designs through the screen. For example, the user can change the sequin A into the sequin A over B through screen editing.

3. The user can set the sequin size, angle and color by the panel. The user can change the sequin delivery angle by use of the operation panel while power on. (No need to adjust the DIP switch on the circuit board EF165)

4. It display the sequin size and color while embroidery. It can display the sequin mode one over another, so it's easy for the user to observe.

5. It supports to adjust the sequin device on each machine head collectively or separately, which helps to locate the trouble part and facilitate repairing.

6. It supports all the multi-sequin devices available in the market, including multi-motor multi-sequin and single-motor multi-sequin devices.

Technical details and application range of BECS series D type sequin control:
The following points should be paid attention to in your selecting the type and placing order of the multi-sequin peripheral devices:

Before ordering, pay attention to the difference among the sequin devices. Now there are several sequin devices in the market and different devices may need different control systems. So in placing order, please indicate the brand name of the sequin device and when filling in the order form please indicate the sequin combination type, e.g. single needle double sequin or left double right double four sequins, etc.

The sequin delivery stepping motor of the sequin delivery device and the electromagnetic control valve of the pneumatic device are the important parts of the sequin embroidery machine. They have close relation to the design of the control circuits. So please read the limitation values of electric parameters of the stepping motor and electromagnetic valve:

Later upgrading
Dahao Company is doing the optimization work on the cards and control systems. First it will be compatible to old sequin control systems. Card IF002 will be developed to replace EF165, and PC002 for EF168. So one system can use two multi sequin control systems and the system version/card type will be simplified. Second, this function will be transferred to other high level machine, so as to provide more choices and space to customers. The cards and functions mentioned here will be done in the short time.

Customers in different places use different punching systems and they also use different editing methods. Especially in dealing with empty stitch and empty jump stitch (X and Y =0), the same stitch code are for different purposes. So we explain this issue here and hope it can help customers in using Dahao control systems.

Here's one example. Some customers found: some designs in trimming machines will cause first trimming when beginning embroidery, then over frame; in non trimming machines they will cause first needle pricking and then over frame. After analysis we found it was because the first two stitches in the design are empty jump stitches.

The following diagram is the codes of the mentioned designs. You can see the first two stitches are 00 00 83. According to the rule of data, the two stitches are empty jump stitches. If the machine parameter "filter empty stitch" is set as "No", the two stitches will be transferred into one empty stitch when data is being read. If over frame code follows, there will be trimming before moving and then over frame. The situation: two empty jump stitches at the beginning of design has relation to the punching system. Some punching system will insert two empty jump stitches at the design start point. If "filter empty stitch" is set as "Yes", when data is read, the empty jump stitches will be filtered. This can solve the problem: first trimming and then over frame. But we found it was not the best solution.

If "filter empty stitch" is set as "Yes", both empty stitches and empty jump stitches will be filtered. This is not right for common designs. Because the first empty stitch is filtered, design start point will omit one stitch. However this empty stitch shouldn't be neglected. So software version 19c for 2x6 control system and software version 17x for 2x2/2x8 control system add one new parameter "filter empty stitch at start". When this parameter is set as "Yes" and "filter empty stitch" is set as "No", the above problem is solved. Now the default settings of these parameters are like that.

Some people may ask why the two empty jump stitches must be transferred into one empty stitch. It's because it has special purpose. E.g. in Shaoxing market because of embroidery requirement, it needs to prick once (boring needle) at the design start point and then embroidery begins. To realize this function, you can edit 2 empty jump stitches at the beginning and "filter empty stitch at start" and "filter empty stitch" are both set as "No". The results of parameters are shown in the following form:The customer can set the two parameters according to requirements.

In recent years the fast development of embroidery industry has pushed up the advance in China's motor driver production. As part of embroidery machine motors which control the main shaft and frame movement also attract much attention. The quality of motors decides whether the machine can work in good condition. The quality of drivers decides whether the motor can run precisely according to the control system's instructions and auto-protect in case of emergency. Reliable drivers can guarantee the embroidery quality and ensure the performance of color-change, frame-movement and other instructions.

As industry appliance embroidery machines have to run stably in higher precision and worse conditions than ordinary civil products. Embroidery machines are working in many different areas and have many machine types, which require the drivers can suit different environments, resist moisture and static electricity. Earlier because the electromagnetic motors are widely used, Dahao MCB-5 driver card is widely applied and its low-cost and high-reliability is widely recognized in the market.

Because the motor precision is not enough, now this product begins to exit market. Dahao has dozens of years of D&R experience in induction driver. Dahao developed FV-01 series induction driver many years ago. FV-01 uses all-digital motor control technology, is curve-optimized towards main shaft features and can be used by all kinds of machines, whose stability is praised by our customers.

With induction motor development Dahao now develop FV-03 series induction driver. The improvements of FV-03 include: increasing the output torque of the driver (now the machine can stop precisely even in high-speed status), improving software to decrease low frequency noise and increasing liability. Now the servo motors are getting popular in the market. But now the foreign-brand servo drivers applied in machines are mostly general servo with high price, which adds the machine cost. They also have too many parameters and complex connection. When a series is replaced, parameters need to be reset and adjusted.

Delivery time and after-sale service obstacle the widespread use of servo drivers. Now Dahao develops the servo driver SD series specialized for embroidery machine main shaft, and Dahao owns all its intellectual property rights. Since it is specially designed for embroidery machines, machine manufacturers don't need to set parameters and make signal cables, which makes it plug-and-use and easy adjustment. The advantage of general servo drivers is the stability in high-speed. But the embroidery machine usually runs in middle and low speed and the advantage of the general servo is of no use and wasted. Towards the machine load specialty, Dahao servo is auto-adjusted in software, is optimized for mid/low speed and can suit wide application situations.

In South China (the main embroidery machine market) it's hot and rains much in summer. Dahao servo is strengthened in hardware design according to the severe environment and goes through the EMI test. According to the machine running features some motor parameters are added to provide convenience for manufacturers' adjustment and their after-sale service. In safety the driver provides auto protection against all kinds of possible accidents, so as to protect operators and drivers. With small type machines appearing in the market now, Dahao has developed low-power servo driver to meet the market requirement.

Meanwhile the frame driver has also long time of development experience. Earlier Dahao BBQ 5-phase driver is widely used for its low damage ratio and high stability. But it has large noise and low precision, which can't help high embroidery quality. So now most machines use stepping motor. At the beginning frame drivers often use MS-01 micro stepping series, which inherit the stable and low-damage features of BBQ series, decrease the work noise and can be updated in software. So it takes a large share in the market.

Based on MS-01 Dahao developed MD-02 series. Its hardware is re-designed, it has small size and one driver can drive both X and Y directions of frame. Except keeping the stability of MS series, MD series optimize its software, increase its resistance against interference, has more stable motor running and has new internal structure to increase heat-elimination, decrease failure rate and avoid driver failure because of dust entering. Compared to MS series, motor noise is lower apparently and strict protect circuit guarantees the output/input stability. Redesigned connection display is compatible to MS series, which makes it easier for customers to install and adjust. MD series will be the standard part of the next generation frame driver. With wider use of servo series, machine manufactures often use foreign general motor, which increase the production cost and has complex adjustment procedures.

The production of a new machine type must be supported by technicians and such adjustments are specialized and not easy for technology promotion. Dahao SD series frame servo motor is specially designed according to embroidery machine frame's features. Its performance in low speed is increased, its adjustment process is simple and it has also the easy cable connection, which makes it plug and play. Design of strong resistance against interference and good compatibility with computer control system are the light points of this product. Low-noise design shows the technology advantage of servo motor. This product can keep embroidery quality in high speed running and raise the production efficiency. All servo series will become the main force of the future embroidery machine market.

Before you begin any embroidery project, you need to thread your embroidery needle. If you don't want to make several frustrating attempts to thread your embroidery needle, you can use a few tricks to simplify the process.

Instructions

Before you begin any embroidery project, you need to thread your embroidery needle. Although this sounds like a straightforward process, pushing two or more threads of embroidery floss through a needle's tiny eye can present a challenge. If you don't want to make several frustrating attempts to thread your embroidery needle, you can use a few tricks to simplify the process.

1- Cut the floss ends with a pair of sharp embroidery scissors. This should produce sharp ends without fuzz or fraying.

2- Squeeze the thread between your thumb and forefinger, leaving only the very tip of the end sticking from between your fingers.

3- Hold the embroidery needle in your other hand and align its eye directly in front of the thread end.

4- Push the needle's eye onto the thread. When the thread end reaches the other side of the eye, pull the thread through the needle to make a tail.

In case, you have never handled sewing machine before and wish to try out some funky fashion styles all by yourself, the threading of the machine is bound to give you jitters. Threading a sewing machine has always been a cause of worry, as it is a meticulous process that requires understanding of the appliance and concentration. The needle of the machine is one of the toughest things to thread, as the needle-eye is quite minute. However, with a little caution and will, the task of threading the machine can be made easy. So, if you are ready to surprise everyone with your creative and fashionable side, read on how to thread a sewing machine and its needle.

How to Thread a Sewing Machine

- The first thing to do is to wind a bobbin, which is a small spool of thread used in the sewing machine.

- After winding the bobbin, put it on the bobbin winder.

- Now, unwind a few inches of thread from the spool and pull that thread around the tension arm or button, on the top left hand side of the machine. Through it, pull it back to the right hand side, towards the bobbin.

- Pull that piece of thread through one of the pinholes in the bobbin. You can even wrap one or two rounds of thread on the bobbin by hand, to get started.

- Press the foot pedal to start the machine, enabling it to wind thread around the bobbin. Warp the bobbin fully, without overlapping its edges.

- Cut the thread, leaving a short tail and remove the bobbin from the machine top.

- To make the machine sew, let the main thread spool remain on top of the machine. However, the bobbin will be fit under the door below, just in front of the needle.

- Unwrap a shot length of thread from the bobbin and place the bobbin into the position, such that it rotates anti clockwise on pulling the thread right side.

- Now, lay the bobbin thread into the cutout made on the machine.

- Close the trap door and ensure that there is no thread coming out from it.

- Going back to the spool on top, unwrap about a foot long length of thread.

- Keeping the thread tense, pull it towards the left hand arm of the machine.

- Now, take the thread down through a gully cut into the sewing machine. Take it back up, making a U shape.

- Now wrap the thread up and over the hooked wire arm, above the needle. After this, take the thread down towards the needle.

- Just above the needle, there is a hook. Pull the thread through the hook and take it out towards the left side of the machine.

- Left to the needle, there will be a grey lever. Run the thread under the inverse V-shaped part of that arm.

- Pull the thread across the front of the needle eye. Simultaneously, pull the grey lever down.

- Now, thread the needle eye, which might take some tries. Adjust the needle position by rotating the manual wheel on the right.

- After the needle is threaded, pull the excess thread length out, under the foot of the machine. When sewing, let the thread hang, so that it does not get out of the needle eye

With so many different styles of specialty caps and the many varieties of designs, embroidering a colorful emblem or a name on your cap can add character to your outfit. The ball cap is ideal to wear while driving around in your convertible. Why not embroider your favorite outdoor scene right on the visor? Companies embroider logos on caps as an ideal form of advertisement. Embroidery is as easy as threading a needle with a colorful piece of thread. Almost anyone can do it.

1- Choose your cap style. Locate a design to embroider on your cap. Purchase different colors of embroidery thread at your local fabric or craft store. Don't forget to pick up an embroidery needle.

2- Use a piece of chalk to mark on your cap an outline of the design you wish to embroider. Chalk washes out when you are finished. Avoid using a permanent marker, a pen or a pencil.

3- Thread your needle with three of the six embroidery threads. Six threads are too many, and two threads are not enough. Tie a knot on the end.

4- Begin from the inside of the cap. Push the needle through to the front, and then push it back again to the inside, 1/8-inch from the first hole. Each consecutive stitch must be the same width apart.

5- Follow the outline on your cap, pushing the needle up from the inside and back down again. Do this with the same color until it's time to change. Thread your needle with a different color thread and resume stitching along the outline of your design.

Select and Input Design

- Computer embroidery machines work off a programmed digital design that is either submitted to the machine's computer or transmitted to the machine from an external computer. The design must be within the size that the machine is capable of producing and in a format that it recognizes. In many cases, the design is programmed directly into the computer embroidery machine either through a memory card or computer disk, but some machines connect directly to a standard laptop or desktop computer.

Prepare Thread and Fabric

- The fabric is placed on an embroidery hoop that fits onto the machine. The hoop is similar to a standard hand embroidery hoop, except that it is designed to fit onto a special arm on the machine. The fabric must be taut in the hoop. In most home computer embroidery machines, only one thread color is used at a time. After the embroidery design has been transmitted to the machine, either the machine will indicate which color thread it will use first or the user will tell the machine which thread color has been placed on the machine.

Monitor Progress

- Once the fabric and thread are in place, the machine begins its work, following the design it was given. The computer, either in or attached to the machine, directs the embroidery arm. The embroidery arm moves the hoop in the directions needed to complete the pattern. Since most home computer embroidery machine models can embroider only one thread color at a time, all of one color will be embroidered according to the pattern. Once a color is complete, the machine will stop so the user can switch to the next color.
